We Need You! LIBRIS is looking for interesting and exciting sessions for the 2014 LIBRIS Conference and we cannot do it without you. If you have an interesting idea, learned something new you would like to share, presented at a regional or national conference, and would like to present your topic again, dust it off, and submit it.

Several groups volunteer to help elderly and low income individuals with tax preparation. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) was established for families earning less than $52,000 a year and is helped in part by the United Way of the Midlands. United Way has a list of locations on their website. There is also a phone number for more information.
April is Financial Literacy Month and April 5-12 is Money Smart Week. A free webinar is being offered for library staff statewide to discuss the online resources of SC Economics (http://www.sceconomics.org/) and its vast resources that may assist library staff members create workshops and programming for children, teens and adults.
