SC Author Donates Books to Public Libraries

Greenville author Tamara Copenhaver has recently donated 1 copy of each of her books to each South Carolina public library system. Chris Yates, SC State Library's Deputy Director of Library Resources and Services helped coordinate the distribution of books.

Just The Dog is an amusing children's story illustrated by Jared Emerson. Readers follow along with the family's exciting day at the ballpark and all that baseball entails- the sights, the sounds, the smells, and... the hot dogs. This particular stadium boasts that ALL hot dogs are made-to-order and the family pushes this to the limits. The day proves to be fun for some, while quite challenging for others.

Dad Take Me to the World is illustrated by Ann Kent. It's a wonderful story about a dad and his daughter exploring the world through travel and imagination.

Tamara Copenhaver is a graduate of Clemson University and lives with her family and pet fish, Tedward, in South Carolina. Her love for writing began during her childhood. She has been involved with organizations such as Ready 4 Reading that focuses on motivating parents and caregivers to read to their young children. As a mother and a preschool teacher, Tamara personally knows the importance of books. Her experiences with children have inspired her to create books that will intrigue and interest them. Her books often share her comical-side, but range from realistic fiction to high fantasy.
