Join us in "Celebrating Gullah/Geechee Legacy & Literacy" with Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation as she returns to the South Carolina State Library in Columbia, SC to launch Black History Month.
Queen Quet will provide a histo-musical presentation to open a Gullah/Geechee exhibition curated from De Gullah/Geechee Alkebulan Archive. Following the presentation, Queen Quet will do a booksigning.
Queen Quet has written children's books, novels, and a series of Gullah/Geechee history books which she will share from.
