The person in this position:
- Engages in collection development by selecting and de-selecting materials.
- Instructs patrons on using library resources and technologies; prepares bibliographies, user guides, and promotional displays.
- Offers library tours and teaches patrons about the catalog, inter-library loans, and computer use.
- Manages the circulation desk, supervises pages, checks materials in and out, monitors patron behavior, and collects fines.
- Collaborates with community groups to promote literacy and other initiatives.
- Promotes library programs through public outreach, informational fairs, and publicity materials; contributes to press releases and newsletters.
- Maintains and updates social media platforms and creates displays.
- Answers complex inquiries with specialized knowledge of resources.
- Maintains records and prepares monthly activity reports; assists with budget preparation by providing statistical data.

$64,117.00 - $83,340.00 Annually
Primary Location: Beaufort Branch Library
Master's degree in library science or library and information science (MLIS)
Over two years and up to and including four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
