ReadSC Center for the Book to host Authors of SC Programs

The South Carolina Center for the Book is pleased to announce three Authors of SC programs. All events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, July 30, at 7:15 p.m. - Authors of SC featuring Terry Wynne

Wynne will share her mother's memoir Through My Eyes: A Lifetime of Memories—Southern Style, a collection of reminiscences from proud-to-be-Southern storyteller, Carolyne Taylor Wynne. Carolyne’s true tales of her life will charm you with their innocence and entertain you with their humor. Completed for publication by her daughter, Through My Eyes is an historical, educational, and wholesome book that families, adults, and children of all ages can read and enjoy together. We are pleased to present this with our neighbors at the Georgia Center for the Book! This event will take place at the Georgia Center for the Book at DeKalb County Public Library (215 Sycamore Street, Decatur, Georgia) where books will be available for purchase and signing.

Thursday, August 22, at noon - Authors of SC featuring Raegan Teller

Teller will share with us her most recent publication, as well as her writing process. This event will take place at the Richland Library - Main (1431 Assembly St, Columbia, SC) where books will be available for purchase and signing. For more information about Raegan Teller, visit their website at raeganteller.com. Tuesday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. - Authors of SC featuring Jerred Metz

Metz will share with us his most recent publication, Bellicourt Tunnel: The Crowning Battle of the Great War. In the last weeks of September, 1918—later called The One Hundred Days, or The Advance to Victory—American soldiers, were leading a new life an ocean away from home. They saw destruction and misery, heard explosions, breathed burned gunpowder. Now, at the Battle of Bellicourt Tunnel, the soldiers prepare for one last great battle. This event will take place at the SC State Museum, 301 Gervais St, Columbia, SC where books will be available for purchase and signing. For more information about Jerred Metz, visit jerredmetz.com. This Authors of SC event is a partnership between the SC State Museum and ReadSC, the South Carolina Center for the Book.
