Join us as a Librarian II in the Youth Services department and embark on an exciting library adventure! Lead and train a dynamic team while designing creative programs for children from birth through grade 12. Supervises, hires, trains, evaluates, and schedules Youth Services staff
Plans and executes age-appropriate library programs both on-site and off-site, with responsibilities including coordinating and delivering deposit collections to local childcare centers during outreach visits
Provides assistance to customers at the Youth Services desk by helping with information requests and offering readers' advisory
Oversees Youth Services collection development including print and electronic materials under the direction of the Division Manager for Collection Development, or Branch Manager
Compiles, prepares, and maintains departmental reports, records, statistics, and budget information
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Library Science and one (1) year of professional library experience, preferably including six months of supervisory experience.
Management preferences
Experience in providing services to youth. A demonstrated ability to manage a grant-related project with minimal supervision.
