Learn How to Track Legislation

The State Library's Information Services department is pleased to offer another session on how to use online resources to track legislation.

This is a 2 1/2 hour class designed to familiarize users with ways to follow the process of legislation. Attendees will look at resources to find legislators, track bills, and find laws and statutes for both South Carolina and the U.S.

Attendees will learn how to use the South Carolina Legislative Research website (scstatehouse.gov), other resources for state and county information, Thomas.gov and FdSys (NEW!), for federal resources.

Attendees will also learn what Discus (South Carolina's Virtual Library) resources can help with news and analysis. This is a good class for students, teachers, state employees or anyone who may be interested in following particular laws or bills on a state or federal level.

Register here.

Cost: Free.
When: Tuesday, March 19, 2013 -- 9:30am-noon.
Where: South Carolina State Library, 1500 Senate Street, Columbia.
