Going Back to School with Discus - SC's Virtual Library

Greenville Library System partners with SC Dept. of Commerce and others for launch of SC CODES

Greenville County Library System has joined forces with the South Carolina Department of Commerce and other area partners to tackle a critical employment gap in the state technology job market – the availability of skilled computer programmers.

The innovative approach of this new initiative, SC Codes Greenville (SC Codes), combines online learning, weekly in-person meetings and mentorship support to provide free, basic computer programming training to adults.    

FREE Design Classes to be offered at State Library

The SC State Library is pleased to offer two great design training sessions for SC public library staff. We'll spend the day discussing the basic principles of design, covering print materials in the morning and web in the afternoon. Sessions are free and lunch will be on your own; however, you must register online at the SC State Library’s events calendar for each session separately. You may register for one or both sessions depending on your interests.

Library Hosts National Library of Medicine Traveling Exhibit

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Library is proud to host a nationally traveling exhibit entitled "And There's the Humor of It: Shakespeare and the Four Humors." The six banner exhibit is on loan to the library from the National Library of Medicine from July 25 through September 3, 2016, and is currently on display in the library near the circulation desk.
