Berkeley County Becomes First Certified Connected County in the Lowcountry

On June 25, 2015, Connect South Carolina, joined by Berkeley County Community Partners, Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, and Home Telecom, announced Berkeley County’s certified Connected community status and released its Technology Action Plan. It is the first county in the Lowcountry and the eighth certified Connected community in South Carolina.

Grants Research and Proposal Writing Classes to be Offered

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to offer two popular grants research and proposal writing classes: 

Grants Research: Finding a Funder for Your Nonprofit Organization - This class helps individuals working with nonprofit organizations locate information on grants available from private foundations and corporations using the South Carolina State Library’s electronic and print resources.  Sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to noon and are offered on two different dates:

State Library Announces Social Media Summit

The South Carolina State Library is pleased to announce the SC Social Media in State Government Summit. The summit will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  The cost is $10.00 and includes lunch. Join us for a day of hearing from colleagues at SC State Government agencies about how to effectively use social media to promote state government, events, programs, and more!
