The popular webinar series, South Carolina State Government: Bit by Bit continues with four webinars scheduled in early 2014. The series is a look into the websites of South Carolina state government agencies to find unique information about South Carolina.

The South Carolina State Library is offering a shortened version of its popular class, Keeping Up with Legislation.

The official South Carolina Hall of Fame is located in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and was dedicated in 1973 by Governor John C. West. Since 2001, it has been the state's official hall of fame. The hall was created to recognize and honor those contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina's heritage and progress and now has over 60 inductees.

The South Carolina State Agency Social Media Library provides access to social media activity from participating South Carolina state agencies. Social media activity from these state agencies is continually being captured and indexed, and additional agencies will be added.

The Friends of the York County Library recently announced that Nancy Coleman is the 2013 recipient of the Joann W. McMaster Volunteer of the Year award at a reception to honor Friends of the Library volunteers. The award is named in honor of Joann McMaster, who helped found the Friends of the York County Library organization in 1975 and served as its first president.
