One Book, One Columbia @ Richland County Public Library

The City of Columbia and RCPL have joined forces to launch the first citywide reading adventure, One Book, One Columbia.

All residents of Columbia and Richland County are invited to participate between April 1 and May 15, and then share their experiences with friends and neighbors.

The first selection for this annual event is Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years by Sarah and A. Elizabeth Delany with Amy Hill Hearth.

Four years ago, Columbia resident Cynthia Byrd's life changed forever when her 20-year-old son, Brandon LaVar Byrd, was killed in a car accident. But she and her family have found comfort in raising money for the Richland County Public Library, an organization that her son and her other children, London and Kimberly, have valued.
