Acclaimed Storyteller Sarah Dippity to Visit Laurens County Library
On Thursday, October 27, 2011, from 6 - 7 PM Storyteller Sarah Dippity will be at the Laurens County Library to present her Kooky Spooky Halloween Show!
This is part of the Library's new S.M.A.R.T.* (*Super Motivating Activity-Reading Time) program, which provides programs for children and families during evening hours at the library.

Paula Watkins Honored with Lucy Hampton Bostick Award
Paula Watkins has been recognized with the 2011 Lucy Hampton Bostick Award from the Friends of the Richland County Public Library. The award, which recognizes her efforts to support literacy and reading throughout the Midlands and South Carolina, was presented at the Friends' Annual Meeting in September.

State Library to Offer New eBook Collection
The South Carolina State Library will soon expand its services to South Carolina's state government employees with a new eBook collection available for download from the library's website. Effective November 1, library card holders will be able to check out and download eBooks anytime, anywhere by visiting the State Library's web site.
