South Carolina State Library Offers New Electronic Book Collections for State Employees

Over 1,500 electronic books and articles from Safari Tech Online and Safari Business Books Online are now available.
 
 
The State Library now offers two new collections of electronic books for state employees. Safari Tech Online includes 1,443 full text titles in the area of computer technology, including books from popular publishers like O'Reilly and Sams. Safari Business Books Online includes 313 full text titles on business and management from publishers like AMACOM and FT Press.

New Electronic Books Available

The State Library now offers two collections of electronic books for state employees to search, browse, and read online.  Safari Tech Online contains the full text of 1,448 titles in the field of computer technology, all published within the last three years. O'Reilly, Microsoft Press, Sams, and Que are some of the publishers included.  Safari Business Books Online includes 313 titles related to business and management.  Some publishers included are AMACOM, ASTD, Wharton School Publishers, and FT Press.

Honda of South Carolina Contributes $25,000 In Support Of New Timmonsville Library

A new library in Timmonsville to expand services and programs.
 
Florence, SC - When the Florence County Library System broke ground for a new Timmonsville branch library on May 16th it was an exciting time with over 100 people from the community attending.  The current branch library has only two public Internet computers, no meeting room space and limited operating hours.

State Library Offers Digital Collection of Certified Public Manager Projects

Staff at the South Carolina State Library have recently completed a digitization project scanning in close to 300 Certified Public Manager projects, which are now available online. 
 
The Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program is a nationally recognized professional development program for supervisors and managers in government and is managed through the South Carolina Budget and Control Board's Office of Human Resources.
