Voice on the Go Is a mobile application that uses your voice to email, text, or call contacts. It can be used with a variety of devices including iPhone, Android, and Blackberry.

The State Library will be closed from noon-5:00pm today for staff development and training.

David Goble (MSLS '94) alumnus of the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and director of the South Carolina State Library, has been named a 2011 Distinguished Alumnus by the SILS Alumni Association (SILSAA).

On June 4, over 800 families and library lovers came to the South Carolina State Museum for the first annual Storyfest SC, South Carolina State Library's official kick off for the summer reading programs across the state. StoryFest SC is a new literacy event which introduces South Carolina's children to literature and story in a family fun setting.

Every day for 100 days, five different organizations will compete for the most votes with the daily winners being awarded a new Toyota.
