The South Carolina Academy of Authors announces the 2nd annual Carrie McCray Nickens Fellowship in Poetry Awarded annually in April in the amount of $500.00

The fall 2010 issue of MORE: The Newsletter for South Carolina Libraries is now available online.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack recently announced investments in 30 states that will create jobs by building and enhancing libraries in 129 rural communities across the nation. The city of Denmark and Richland County are two of the 129 recipients. The projects are being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act).
