CCPL to Host Spoleto Festival USA Book Discussion

Charleston County Public Library has partnered with Spoleto Festival USA for three book discussions, reflecting themes found in Spoleto’s opera Omar. The second talk on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - 6:30 p.m., will examine Lawrence Hill's Someone Knows My Name. In this fiction work, Hill, an award winning author, tells the story of the injustices of slavery and its toll on people.

Join us Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. for an author talk featuring Marjy Marj. She will share with us her most recently published book, Same Elephants. Marjy Marj’s anticipated follow-up to The Shimmigrant is an enlightening, introspective, heartwarming novel about four friends from diverse backgrounds.
