The South Carolina State Library has put together a resource guide that contains links to information which may be helpful to library staff related to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Information includes guidance specifically related to public libraries, and cleaning and disinfecting areas of the library. This guide will be regularly updated to include any new information as it is received.

The South Carolina State Library has been monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 (now pandemic) and is working closely with our partners and event organizers to help manage its impact on our library community statewide.

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the PLA decided to cancel the Space Planning Workshop scheduled for May 18. We are working to set another date for the fall and will pass along further information once a new date is set. Thank you for your patience as we adjust to the daily changes in response to COVID-19

­An online survey seeking public input about nine agencies under study by the House Legislative Oversight Committee is now open.  This survey seeks public input about the Arts Commission; Attorney General's Office; Department on Aging; Department of Commerce; Department of Health and Human Services; Ethics Commission; Jobs-Economic Development Authority; State Accident Fund; and State Library. The public is encouraged to take the survey, which provides an opportunity to share any comments, concerns, or suggestions about these agencies.
