COVID-19 Resources

The South Carolina State Library has put together a resource guide that contains links to information which may be helpful to library staff related to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Information includes guidance specifically related to public libraries, and cleaning and disinfecting areas of the library. This guide will be regularly updated to include any new information as it is received.

House Legislative Oversight Committee Seeks Input

An online survey seeking public input about nine agencies under study by the House Legislative Oversight Committee is now open.  This survey seeks public input about the Arts Commission; Attorney General's Office; Department on Aging; Department of Commerce; Department of Health and Human Services; Ethics Commission; Jobs-Economic Development Authority; State Accident Fund; and State Library. The public is encouraged to take the survey, which provides an opportunity to share any comments, concerns, or suggestions about these agencies.

Learn the Power of Partnerships

The South Carolina State Library is excited to bring together school librarians, administrators, and public library staff to discuss existing partnerships across the state and how to strengthen collaborations in your district. Stephanie Rodriguez from the Nashville Public Library’s Limitless Libraries project, and Andrew Maxey from Tuscaloosa City Schools will be our special presenters on March 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
