The Research Institute for Public Libraries (RIPL) aims to teach library staff how to gather data, analyze it, and create plans that best serve their communities. A RIPL bootcamp is coming to Columbia March 31 through April 1. The hands-on workshop shows you how to build research into evaluation and planning and determine whether you are putting your money and resources in the right place.

The South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository provides access to publications produced by state agencies and state-supported academic institutions. These publications provide citizens with crucial information about state government, including statistics, annual accountability reports, and data on a wide variety of topics related to the state.

There is a strong history behind the more than one million African Americans who served during World War II. The South Carolina State Library will explore the stories, struggles, and accomplishments of these soldiers when it hosts A War on Two Fronts: African Americans Fight for Victory at Home and Abroad, an Athenaeum Press traveling exhibition from Coastal Carolina University. A War on Two Fronts is on display now through March 6, 2020.
